Vote for your least favourite remix here. There are more to the list than just these four but they are not necessarily in the first quarter of 2019 but in the recent past. To see him dance and sing with such enthusiasm is a treat for every movie lover.

The track from Karz which featured on the most loved star Rishi Kapoor. Guess there was a budget for creating original songs. There are just 4 songs in total and 2 of them are recreated tracks. Total Dhamaal was undoubtedly one of the blockbusters of the first quarter of 2019 and the team did a good job too, but what’s with the recreation of Paisa Yeh Paisa. Let’s start with the Mithun Chakraborty step, why? and then the Khalibali reference, who wrote the lyrics? Originality kahan hai? Talking about originality, the first song featured Urmila Matondkar and Akshay Kumar, which was relatable at that time as they actually wrote the song and not took references from some other big-budget films or copied anyone’s step for the matter. Original: Ye Khabar Chapvado Akhbar Me – Aflatoon (1997) Guddu and Rashmi are forced to marry or act as though a married couple and their unhappiness is evident on their faces, which we, don’t know how can be missed by all those people dancing around them. Neeru does complete justice to the song, be it with dancing or with expressions, the Bollywood remix, on the other hand, is packed with uber cool moves which don’t go with the emotion of the song. The remix starred Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon and the original featured Neeru Bajwa, Ammy Virk and Amberdeep.

Some of those got a fantastic makeover as the old records were transformed into digital format with a hint of contemporary music and some just murdered the whole vibe. We saw a lot of tracks revisited in the first quarter of 2019. In fact, it just makes no sense and tbh, not fair to the original one. Also, adding a rap doesn’t make it anymore happening. Sure, we love to listen to dear old classics or 90s and 2000s song, but the lack of authenticity of the song kills the mood. In recent past we have seen and heard so many recreational tracks that we are left wondering, whether Bollywood having a dearth of lyricists or writers for that matter. Bollywood clearly is in the fever of remixes or spin-offs.
